A 21-year old Rockland soldier is being laid to rest in his hometown this morning.

Army Specialist Matthew Pollini was killed two weeks ago in Iraq, when the humvee he was riding in rolled over.

WBUR's Steve Brown is there.

Specialist Matthew Pollini is the second servicemen from Rockland killed in Iraq. Marine Corporal Walter O'Haire died nearly two years ago.

A hearse will bring Pollini's casket about a half mile up Union Street from the funeral home to the Holy Family Church. After the funeral mass, Pollini will be laid to rest in Hanover Center Cemetery, with full military honors.
