As Shops Shut In Coolidge Corner, Some Hang On

Empty storefronts are becoming a more common sight around Boston and neighboring communities as businesses struggle to make ends meet in the down economy. One area that's been affected by a drop in consumer spending is Coolidge Corner in Brookline.

Bowl and Board, The Children's Place, Barnes & Noble — those are the names of just a few stores that have shuttered their doors recently.

WBUR's Deborah Becker walked through Coolidge Corner to find out how business is going for the shops that remain.
