Tall Ships Could Come, But Not In Full Force

After pressure from Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, organizers of Sail Boston say they will scale back their Tall Ships event in July.

Sail Boston has yet to come up with a way to pay for the estimated $2 million in public safety costs.

Organizers say they'll bring about half of the 50 tall ships expected, and say the ships will spend less time in Boston.

In addition, spectators will have to pay to board the ships.
