Man Shot Near Harvard Dormitory
Police are investigating a shooting near a Harvard University dormitory.
Authorities said a man was shot about 5 p.m. Monday outside an entrance to Kirkland House. The unidentified victim was taken to a hospital where police said he was in stable condition. It wasn't immediately known if he was a student.
"All indications thus far are that the incident was isolated and that the suspects have fled the area," the university wrote in a statement.
The statement said Kirkland House residents were being asked to remain at the undergraduate dormitory, but other students and members of the Harvard community could resume normal activity.
