Gov. Patrick: Mass. Economy 'On The Mend, On The Move'

There are 500 more jobs in Massachusetts, according to the state's latest figures. They indicate June is the sixth straight month of employment growth in the private sector.

But a similar report for May showed an extra 15,000 jobs, which means the pace of growth has slowed down since then.

Meanwhile, Massachusetts' overall unemployment rate has dropped to 9 percent from 9.2 percent.

Gov. Deval Patrick spoke with WBUR's Bob Oakes about what, in his view, the numbers mean.
