Pleasure Boat Runs Aground In Boston Harbor

Authorities say a cabin cruiser has run aground in Boston Harbor and started taking on water, but that no injuries were reported.

Twenty people were on the 50-foot cabin cruiser Wilhelmina from Weymouth when it was grounded Saturday on Devil's Back. That rock formation is about a mile from Deer Island.

It's the same area where a whale-watching cruise boat, the Massachusetts, ran aground July 3, injuring four of the 168 people on board.

The U.S. Coast Guard and a Massport fire boat responded to Saturday's incident, removing 18 people from the vessel and leaving two aboard to stay with the boat.

The Coast Guard is working with the owner on a salvage plan.
