Hurricane Igor Could Bring Rough Seas To New Enlgand

The forecast this weekend calls for nice weather, but Hurricane Igor could make for rough seas.

The Category 4 storm, now packing winds of 145 mph, will remain offshore, but its impact will be felt along the New England coast.

"The waters right along the shore actually will seem rather treacherous, in spite of what otherwise might seem like pretty nice weather," said Bob Thompson, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.

Thompson says high surf and dangerous rip currents will make for dangerous swimming conditions this weekend.
