Mutilated Body Found In Milton Neighborhood

Police are investigating what they call the "gruesome" discovery of a young man's body on a quiet residential street in Milton.

Passers-by found the mutilated body at about 9:30 Monday night on Brierbrook Street.

Police Chief Richard Wells said officers arriving at the scene in the Boston suburb "encountered a very gruesome situation."

Wells says the case is considered a homicide and an autopsy will be conducted to determine cause of death.
Investigators do not believe the victim lived in the upscale neighborhood and Wells says the killing does not appear to be connected to any criminal activity in the area.

Police are looking for two vehicles that witnesses saw in the area around the time the body was discovered.
