Tufts Medical Center CEO Zane Will Retire

Another Boston hospital chief executive is stepping down.

Tufts Medical Center says its CEO for the past seven years, Ellen Zane, will leave that post in the fall.

The hospital says Zane will become vice chairman of the hospital's board of trustees and continue to consult on hospital operations for an additional year.

In January, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center CEO Paul Levy announced his resignation. More than a year ago, Boston Medical Center named Kate Walsh its new CEO.
