The friends and families of James "Whitey" Bulger's alleged victims are reeling from the news of his capture. Many of them thought Bulger was dead or would remain a fugitive.

South Boston resident Luanne Litif was 20 years old when she says she found her father, Louis Litif, shot dead and stuffed into the trunk of his car. Bulger was never charged for the murder, but his gang has been implicated.

Litif joined Morning Edition Friday to discuss her reaction to the news of Bulger's arrest.

This program aired on June 24, 2011.
