Students at Harvard have welcomed back a prodigal son of sorts. Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg was back at Harvard Yard for the first time since he dropped out six years ago. But he's not back to finish his degree. He wants more students to follow him to California.

Earlier on Monday he stopped at MIT to speak to students there.

WBUR's business and technology reporter Curt Nickisch was on both campuses Monday and joined Morning Edition Tuesday with an update.

Zuckerberg continues his recruiting trip Tuesday at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.

This program aired on November 8, 2011.
