Judge Orders Release Of Phoebe Prince Settlement Details

A Massachusetts judge is ordering the town of South Hadley to release the terms of a settlement it paid to the family of a high school student who committed suicide.

Fifteen-year-old Phoebe Prince hung herself two years ago after a period of persistent school bullying.

A reporter from the online magazine Slate sued the town of South Hadley after town officials claimed that the settlement was confidential.

The judge is giving the town a week to appeal the order before it has to turn over the documents.
