Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is relishing his upset victory in the South Carolina primary. The win has dealt a setback to former front-runner Mitt Romney in the race for the Republican presidential nomination.

The former Massachusets governor is vowing to contest for every vote "in every state," acknowledging the race could be a long one.

Boston College political science professor Marc Landy, co-author of the book, "Presidential Greatness," and an expert on American politics, joined WBUR's Sharon Brody for some analysis.
