Boston Lawyer Seeks Source Of Leaked Conversations

A lawyer for one of two men accused of killing three adults and a toddler in Boston has asked a judge to force prosecutors to reveal the unnamed source of a newspaper column based on what are supposed to be private conversations.

The lawyer for Dwayne Moore says the March 23 column in The Boston Globe described conversations two jurors had with Judge Christine McEvoy.

The jury deadlocked on Moore's charges and he faces a retrial.

Moore's lawyer, John Amabile, says he wants to find out if someone in the district attorney's office leaked the conversation in an attempt to "poison" future jury pools. He says the leak could serve as grounds for dismissal.

A spokesman for the district attorney says the office will address the motion in court.

This program aired on April 3, 2012. The audio for this program is not available.
