Shooting On Boston's River Street Leaves 1 Dead

BOSTON — A 20-year-old man shot last night by the Hyde Park/Mattapan neighborhood line has died, Boston Police say.

Just before 9 p.m. last night, police responded to a report of a person shot outside 871 River St., where they found a male victim suffering from multiple apparent gunshot wounds.

The victim, who has not been identified, was later pronounced dead at Boston Medical Center.

Later last night, there was another fatal shooting in Boston, in the city's Allston neighborhood. There have been four apparent slayings in four days in Boston, and now 12 on the year.
