Boston Mayor Thomas Menino is meeting with Police Commissioner Ed Davis and leaders of human services agencies to discuss a rash of gun violence over the weekend that left three people dead and seven injured.

Police say four women were shot Sunday night while sitting in a parked car on Harlem Street in the city's Dorchester neighborhood. Two died at the scene, a third was hospitalized in serious condition, and a fourth suffered a leg wound.

Earlier Sunday, a shooting in Roslindale left a man in his 30s dead and three other men injured.

Two more people were shot Sunday night in Dorchester and suffered injuries not considered life-threatening.

Names were not released.

Menino and Davis are expected to release more information on the shootings after the meeting Monday.
