Many shelters and soup kitchens in the Greater Boston area will be busy Thursday as they serve up some comfort for those in need with a traditional Thanksgiving meal.

Few places will be busier than the Pine Street Inn in Boston, where volunteers began arriving at 3:00 a.m. to start preparing the more than 1,500 meals the shelter plans to serve today.

Pine Street Inn spokesperson Barbara Trevison spoke with Bob Oakes on WBUR's Morning Edition.

This program aired on November 22, 2012.
