Judith Tannenbaum, the contemporary art curator at the Rhode Island School of Design Museum, plans to end full-time work there in February, the Providence museum announced this week.

At the RISD Museum, Tannenbaum curated major shows like “Wunderground: Providence, 1995 to the Present” (2006), while also being the institution’s most prolific curator since going to work there in 2000.

She is expected to remain affiliated with the museum as an adjunct curator through 2014, while moving to Philadelphia to focus on writing and other projects. In other words, she’s kinda, sorta, retiring.

This program aired on December 8, 2012. The audio for this program is not available.
