This article is more than 10 years old.

As of Tuesday, it is now legal for patients with debilitating medical conditions and permission from the state to use marijuana for medical purposes. It will also be legal to grow a limited quantity of marijuana for medical use. WBUR's Monica Brady-Myerov joined Bob Oakes on Morning Edition to sort it out.

This program aired on January 1, 2013.
