State Officials Continue Work To Lure JetBlue To Worcester

Lt. Gov. Timothy Murray will meet with JetBlue executives in New York Monday as the state tries to lure the airline to Worcester Regional Airport.

City and state officials have been working to court JetBlue since Direct Air ended flights from Worcester last year, leaving the airport without passenger service.

Massport announced a $32 million upgrade to the airport's landing system last month, an upgrade JetBlue says is vital for it to consider service there, according to the Worcester Telegram & Gazette.

This program aired on March 4, 2013. The audio for this program is not available.
