One of the signs of spring hereabouts is the annual Boston Flower & Garden Show, produced by the Paragon Group. Flowers and trees, waterfalls, chicken coops and shrubbery fill the Seaport World Trade Center through March 17, showcasing the ingenuity of local landscaping firms and garden clubs. The show remains smaller than the old New England Spring Flower Show, which ended after 137 years in 2009 due to the financial struggles of its sponsor, the Massachusetts Horticultural Society. But the gardeners continue to astonish as they bring the outdoors indoors.
