The U.S. Senate special election primary is less than a week away — Tuesday, April 30 — which gives candidates just one more weekend to shore up support after the Boston Marathon bombings nearly froze the race in place for two weeks.

David Bernstein, longtime political reporter formally with the Boston Phoenix, joined WBUR's Morning Edition to discuss how the bombings have impacted the primary and what to expect next week when voters head to the polls.

This program aired on April 26, 2013.
