A 17-year-old Somerville High School soccer player charged with sexually assaulting three freshman is being held pending a dangerousness hearing.

Galileo Mondol and two 16-year-old students whose names were not made public are accused of forcing their way into a cabin during a school-sponsored sports camp in the Berkshires where prosecutors say they raped one freshman with a broom and tried to attack two others.

Somerville Mayor Joseph Curtatone, who was among the 19 adult chaperones at the camp with the 165 students, joined WBUR's All Things Considered and says the city is launching a formal review of what happened.

This program aired on September 3, 2013.
