Rollover Crash Kills 2 In Norwood

Massachusetts state police investigators are trying to determine what caused a car to rollover numerous times in Norwood, killing two people who were in the vehicle.

Spokesman David Procopio says in a statement released on Saturday that emergency workers pronounced the victims dead on the spot. They were later identified as 59-year-old Jerome Blomquist and 60-year-old Joan Pupi, both from Wrentham. Police declined to comment on their relationship, citing their internal policy.

Police say troopers responding to numerous calls for a rollover crash on Rt. 95 southbound found the accident just before Exit 11B in Norwood at about 10:30 p.m. Friday.

Police say investigators are trying to determine what caused the car to rollover.

Police collision analysis and reconstruction experts are investigating, together with members of the crime scene section and detectives.
