2 Arrested In Boston Robbery Spree

Boston police say they have arrested two men in connection with a series of weekend robberies at North End-area convenience stores and a coffee shop.

All told, four stores and a Starbucks were robbed on Saturday and Sunday and an attempted robbery occurred at a fifth store.

In all the robberies, the suspect or suspects made off with cash and in one case, merchandise.

In one case, a suspect brandished a broken glass bottle as a weapon.

Police on Monday announced that 27-year-old Richard Puopolo turned himself in. Forty-three-year-old Carlos Venable was arrested late Saturday. They are scheduled to be arraigned later Monday on robbery charges. Puopolo also faces a drug charge.

It's unclear if they have lawyers.
