Time is rapidly running out in the Massachusetts campaign season. The underdog in the Democratic gubernatorial race seems well aware of that. Former federal health care administrator Don Berwick went on the offensive against his two opponents, Martha Coakley and Steve Grossman, during a debate sponsored by WBUR and three other media outlets Wednesday night.

WBUR's Asma Khalid joins Morning Edition to report on the barbs tossed at Coakley, the race's front-runner.
