The governor's race kicked into high gear this week with two national political heavyweights hitting the campaign trail.

President Bill Clinton was in Worcester Thursday lending his support to Democrat Martha Coakley, while her opponent, Republican Charlie Baker, got a financial bump from a fundraiser with former Massachusetts Gov. and presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

WBUR's political analysts, Republican Todd Domke and Democrat Dan Payne, join WBUR's Morning Edition to talk about what difference these high profile visits might make in the home stretch of the race.

This segment aired on October 17, 2014.
