A 75-year-old woman and her son have been identified as the victims of a Waltham house fire.
The fire on Ash Street was reported just after 3 a.m. Monday.
The Middlesex district attorney's office says Elizabeth Miller was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital.
Her son, 46-year-old Eric Miller, was pronounced dead at the scene.
One firefighter was also injured.
Firefighters said the bitter cold and waist-high snow made fighting the fire more difficult, but a nearby fire hydrant had been cleared of snow.
The cause remains under investigation.
State Fire Marshal Stephen Coan says there have now been eight fire deaths in Massachusetts this year.
