Alleged Gunman Pleads Not Guilty To 2014 Boston Shooting

A third suspect in the daytime shooting of a Boston man just a week before Christmas has been ordered held without bail.

Amir Richardson was held after pleading not guilty at his arraignment Tuesday to charges including murder and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Prosecutors say the 23-year-old Richardson fired six shots at William Davis as he crossed a Roxbury street on Dec. 17, striking him three times. The 20-year-old Davis died of a gunshot wound to the lower back.

Two men who were allegedly in the same getaway vehicle as Richardson have already been arraigned on accessory charges and are being held on $25,000 bail.

Authorities did not disclose a motive.

Richardson's family and friends said in court that he didn't shoot Davis.
