The company that runs the MBTA's commuter rail services says it is returning to full service after a winter of heavy snow and frigid temperatures caused multiple changes to the schedule.
Keolis Commuter Services says every line is expected to be running at full service for the Monday morning commute.
Keolis General Manager Gerald Francis was at North Station to greet passengers and thanking them for their patience.
The MBTA was plagued by equipment failures during a winter that dropped more than nine feet of snow in the Boston area, resulting in delayed and canceled trains and hours-long commutes. At one point, the entire system was shut down for more than 24 hours following one storm.
Commuters are still urged to visit the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority's website for schedules.
