Red Sox ownership is changing at the top. President and CEO Larry Lucchino has announced he's stepping aside from those positions. Sox executive vice president and chief operating officer Sam Kennedy will replace him as president.

Lucchino's contract expires at the end of the year, and Lucchino, who turns 70 next month, told the Boston Globe it's time for a switch.

Boston Herald sports columnist Steve Buckley joined WBUR to talk about the end of Lucchino's 14-year reign.

This segment aired on August 2, 2015.
