3 Shot In Car In Roxbury; 2 Critically Injured

Boston police say a brother and sister have been critically wounded, and a woman with them less seriously hurt, when they were shot as they sat in a car outside a housing complex.

Police Commissioner William Evans said the three appeared to have been deliberately targeted by a man who walked up to the car in the Roxbury neighborhood and fired at about 12:45 p.m. Monday. Evans said the man fled in a white pickup truck. The victims are in their late teens and early 20s.

Evans said the young man was shot in the neck and his sister in the upper body. The second woman was shot in the leg.

Evans said investigators don't know what led to the shooting and urged anyone with information to get in touch with police.
