Baker Says He Wouldn't Vote For Donald Trump In November

Republican Gov. Charlie Baker says he would not vote for GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump in November.

Baker made the comment Wednesday in response to questions about Trump's victories in seven Super Tuesday primaries, including in Massachusetts.

Asked if he would back the New York billionaire if he were to emerge as his party's nominee, Baker said he didn't vote for Trump on Tuesday and added: "I'm not going to vote for him in November."

"I'm not going to vote for him in November."

On Tuesday, the moderate Republican governor wouldn't tell reporters who he voted for in the state's presidential primary, only that it wasn't Trump or Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.

Baker was quick to add Wednesday that there is a long way to go until the Republican convention and chided reporters for jumping to conclusions that Trump will be the eventual nominee.

Baker wouldn't say what he would do if Trump were nominated.

He says he is not a fan of Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton, either.

Baker had endorsed New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie just before the New Hampshire primary, but Christie dropped out of the race after a poor showing there.

Christie then endorsed Trump, putting Baker, who's been critical of the Republican front-runner, in a somewhat awkward spot.
