Boston Police Investigate Fatal Shooting In Roxbury

Boston police are investigating a shooting early Monday morning at a house party that killed one man and injured another.

At 3:05 a.m. Monday, officers responded to a call about a person shot in the area of 66 Humboldt Ave. in the city's Roxbury neighborhood.

Officers discovered a 28-year-old man had been shot; they pronounced him dead at the scene. Authorities say he had been known to police.

Soon after, officers found another male victim in his early 20s suffering from a gunshot wound to his ankle. He was transported to a Boston hospital and is expected to survive his injuries.

Officers also recovered a total of three firearms at the scene of the shooting.

Police have not yet released the victims' identities.

No arrests have been made, and a spokeswoman for the department said the details of the shooting and recovery of the firearms are still under investigation.
