Riding The Porter Square Escalator With The Sculptor Of 'Glove Cycle'
Resume
The MBTA's Porter Square Station opened in Cambridge in 1984, featuring the public art installation, "Glove Cycle" by Mags Harries.
For WBUR's Sharon Brody, seeing the artwork was love at first sight. She speaks with Harries on the Porter Square escalator about the story of winter told by those 54 bronze gloves.
The installation is No. 49 on our list of the 50 best public works of art in Greater Boston, assembled by The ARTery's Greg Cook.
