The so-called gig economy is fast becoming a lifeline for a growing number of workers in Massachusetts.

But organized labor warns that this kind of employment can hurt workers.

Steve Tolman, head of the labor group the AFL/CIO, joined Morning Edition to discuss the gig economy.
