MBTA Considering Adding Walls And Doors To Subway Platforms

The MBTA is considering building walls and doors inside T stations to separate platforms from arriving trains.
The setup, the T said, would make it easier for people to get off the train before new passengers to get on.
State Transportation Secretary Stephanie Pollack told the Boston Globe the system could also be used to steer passengers towards less crowded subway cars.
The T hasn't issued a price tag or time table for the idea.
