Power Issues Force MBTA Blue Line Evacuation

Power issues on the MBTA's Blue Line on Thursday morning forced passengers to evacuate their train outside Maverick Station and walk through the subway tunnel.
Social media posts showed people being walked through the tunnel. The T says no one requested medical attention.
The MBTA says the train's third rail lost power.
The line operated on a single track between Government Center and Airport stations, with supplemental bus service, until about 10:45 a.m., when the T said power was restored and full service was resumed, with some residual delays.
