Boston To Welcome Patriots Home With Victory Parade

This article is more than 4 years old.

Just minutes after red, white and blue confetti fell over Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Sunday night, signaling a sixth Super Bowl win for the New England Patriots, Mayor Marty Walsh turned to Twitter to announce a victory parade.

The champions will make their victory lap in true Boston style — riding on duck boats — at 11 a.m. Tuesday, the mayor's office says.

The parade will start at Hynes Convention Center and conclude at City Hall.

The MBTA says it will add extra capacity to commuter rail trains to accommodate large crowds, and all trains will run on rush-hour schedule.
