Weston, Dover Top List For Per Capita Political Donations
If you're a politician looking to boost your campaign war chest, you could do worse than head to Boston's western suburbs.
A report by the Office of Campaign and Political Finance found Weston and Dover topped the list of Massachusetts communities with the highest per capita contributions to political figures.

Weston residents contributed just over $33 per resident in 2018. Dover contributed nearly $27 per resident.
Cohasset, Winchester, Swampscott, Nahant, Newton, Norwell, Boxford and Milton were also in the top 10.
The statewide per capita average is $4.91.
Boston, with more than 600,000 residents, made the most contributions, totaling almost $9 million — a per capita average of $14.51.
Residents in Gosnold and Monroe reported no contribution. Gosnold has 75 residents and Monroe has 121, according to federal census numbers.
