Four Injured, One Killed, In Four Shootings In Boston Sunday

Boston police say five people were injured in four separate shootings in Dorchester and Mattapan Sunday, leaving one person dead and another with life-threatening injuries.

The first was just after 3 p.m. at 3 Duke St. in Mattapan, police said. That victim died after he was taken to a hospital.

Later that night, four more people were shot within a mile of one another in Dorchester over an 80 minute period.

  • One person was shot at at 9:26 p.m. at 83 Maple St., near Franklin Park. That victim is expected to survive.
  • Two people were shot at 9:51 p.m. at 197 Columbia Rd. Both victims brought themselves to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries
  • One person suffered life-threatening injuries after they were shot at 83 Fayston St. at 10:43 p.m.

Police did not identify any of the victims, or say whether any arrests have been made.
