20-Year-Old Man Stabbed At Amory Park In Brookline Has Died

A young man stabbed at a popular suburban Boston park has died of his injuries, law enforcement authorities said Wednesday.

A spokesman for the Norfolk district attorney's office said 20-year-old Nicolas Kern was stabbed multiple times at about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday at Amory Park in Brookline and died at the hospital later in the day.

The victim lived in Brookline.

There have been no arrests, but investigators said they do not think the stabbing was a random act and there is no threat to the public.

According to the town's website, the park is a little more than eight acres, and includes ballfields, walking trails, tennis courts and a dog park. Neighbors described it as a safe area.
