Police Identify Victim In Dorchester Homicide Investigation

Boston police on Wednesday released the name of a man who was shot and killed in Dorchester last week.

Marqus Allen, 23, of Dorchester, was suffering from gunshot wounds when officers located him in the area of 1353 Dorchester Ave. on Jan. 22, police said in a statement. He was taken to a hospital where he later died.

No other information was released.

The incident is being investigated as a homicide, police say. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the department's homicide detectives or the anonymous CrimeStoppers tip line.
