There are now 525 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Massachusetts, according to data released by the state Department of Public Health on Saturday, up from 413 cases on Friday.

102 of the state's confirmed cases are in Boston, according to data released by the city.

Of those who are infected statewide, 61 have been hospitalized for COVID-19, the illness caused by the coronavirus.

The increase in cases comes as the state continues to ramp up its testing efforts. Massachusetts labs have conducted more than 5,000 tests as of Friday, and Gov. Charlie Baker announced in a press conference Saturday that daily testing capacity has doubled since Wednesday.
