27-Year-Old Man Murdered At Somerville Apartment Complex

A 27-year-old man was stabbed to death at a Somerville apartment complex on Saturday afternoon, according to the Middlesex district attorney's office.

Kesner Junior Lubin, of Somerville, was found suffering from stab wounds at Clarendon Hill Apartments off Alewife Brook Parkway just before 4 p.m., the district attorney's office said in a statement. Lubin was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A suspect, 26-year-old Washington Assis-Rodrigues, was arrested and charged with assault and battery causing serious bodily injury.

Prosecutors said the victim and Assis-Rodrigues, both were residents of the complex, knew each other and had a verbal altercation that escalated before the stabbing.

Assis-Rodrigues is set to be arraigned by teleconference Monday at Somerville District Court.

The death remains under investigation.
