Pedestrian Dies After Being Hit By Vehicle On I-90 Travel Lane In Hopkinton

A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Route 90 eastbound in Hopkinton on Sunday afternoon.

State police responded to a report of a crash around 3:15 p.m. Sunday on the Massachusetts Turnpike. Police have not identified the victim, who was announced dead on the scene.

Police said a 40-year-old man from Hebron, Connecticut, driving a 2013 Mazda CX-5, struck the pedestrian. No arrests were reported.

State police are investigating the circumstances of the crash, including why the pedestrian was in the road.
