RMV Offering Designated Hours For Older Mass. Residents To Renew Licenses

Starting Wednesday, older Massachusetts residents will be able to book an appointment to renew their licenses in-person — a state requirement for anyone over 75 years old.

The Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles office in Watertown is offering designated hours for senior customers in order to better facilitate social distancing guidelines amid concerns about the spread of coronavirus. Starting next week, designated elderly hours will also be available at RMV offices in Danvers, Leominster, New Bedford, and South Yarmouth.

The new service is by appointment only, and will be available every Wednesday in September. Hours will vary by location.
