Some Health Care Workers Could Get Vaccine As Early As Monday

The first COVID-19 vaccine authorized for emergency use in the U.S. is shipping to hospitals across the country. Health care workers will be among the first to receive the shots.

Dr. Cassandra Pierre, an infectious disease physician at Boston Medical Center and says BMC could get its vaccines as early as Monday — only about a quarter of the staff's 8,000 will receive the vaccine right away. She spoke to Weekend Edition's Sharon Brody about it.
