1 Killed, 2 Others Shot At Weymouth Apartment Complex

One person was killed and two others suffered gunshot wounds in a shooting at a Weymouth apartment complex over the weekend, authorities said.

Police responded to the Mastlight complex after getting multiple 911 calls just before 3 a.m. on Sunday, Weymouth police Chief Richard Fuller and Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey said.

"It appears there was a gathering at a townhouse apartment at 30 Patriot Parkway and some kind of incident caused a spill out into the rear parking lot area, and there were numerous shots fired," Morrissey said.

One man was located near the entrance to the building. That man, Eric Small, 30, of Cambridge, was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.

Three others were taken to the hospital, two who had been shot and a third for another medical reason.

No other names were released.

No arrests were announced and what led to the shooting remains under investigation.

Fuller said several people left the area during or shortly after the shooting and he asked those people to come forward to talk to investigators.
