VIDEO: Biden addresses Supreme Court decision on race-based admission policies in colleges

President Biden addressed the nation following the Supreme Court's decision to strike down broad-based affirmative action in college admissions.

Writing for the majority, Chief Justice John Roberts said schools must end the use of race as a factor in determining whether to admit a student. At the same time, he said, "nothing prohibits universities from considering an applicant's discussion of how race affected the applicant's life, so long as that discussion is concretely tied to a quality of character or unique ability that the particular applicant can contribute to the university."
